It is another rainy day in New York City, and I found this
song which describes exactly how It feels to be in New York on a
rainy day. It's funny that the city can still be the same 40 years later. This
song was released in the 70's. It's obvious that many changes have occurred
since then, but NY still looks and feels the same way.
Lyrics: Another Rainy Day in New York City
Another rainy day New York CitySoftly sweet, so silently it fallsCrosstown traffic crawls
Memories in my way New York CityTender, tough, too tragic to be trueNothing I can do
City workers cheerTaxi's disappearAnother rainy day New York City
Another spacey stay New York CityHigh up in an overpriced hotelThe view is really swell
Windy, wet and gray New York CityNo one here I really want to seeFriends and family
Suddenly sereneThe air is fresh and cleanAnother rainy day New York City
It's another rainy dayJust a rainy, rainy dayIt's another rainy dayJust a rainy, rainy day
Memories in my way New York CityTender, tough, too tragic to be trueNothing I can do
City workers cheerTaxi's disappearAnother rainy day New York City
Another spacey stay New York CityHigh up in an overpriced hotelThe view is really swell
Windy, wet and gray New York CityNo one here I really want to seeFriends and family
Suddenly sereneThe air is fresh and cleanAnother rainy day New York City
It's another rainy dayJust a rainy, rainy dayIt's another rainy dayJust a rainy, rainy day
That is Manhattan tonight! Sometimes It's not that fun when it rains though. Not fun for people who take the subways to go home after a long day at work, like I do. Whenever it rains in the big Apple, the subways get so crowded that we have to wait for the next subway, most of the time. And if we are lucky enough we will be able to get in, all smashed just like a bug on the wall. Sometimes Its funny, sometimes it's not at all. It depends on your mood, and on what you are going to find on the way.
However, one of the best things about the Big Apple is that, even on a rainy day, you can have as much fun as you would have on a sunny day. If you like theatre as much as I do, you would love to watch the Broadway shows, many of which I adore. I guess you don't really need to understand art to enjoy the shows or any other type of art. You will always appreciate it, no matter where you come from or what you know about it.
I'm far from having a critical view and I don't understand much about art, even though I was a performer in Brazil for two years. I love arts in general and I wish I knew better. However, I try to learn as much as I can. It's never too late, and it is always fun to learn about art.

Out off all the shows I've watched, The Phantom of the Opera is my favorite one so far. My whole self got goose bumps when the play started with the Theme song " The Phantom of the Opera". The melody is beautiful; the cast is amazing; their voices and their performances are just perfect. In Addition, the scenario...Ah, the scenario! I felt like I was watching them in real life!
And that's I, on a rainy day in New York City, but where's my umbrella?? :-) <3 We've got to love NY! We've got to love rainy days!
